Syria

Syria remains one of the largest and most protracted humanitarian crises in the world. Fourteen years of conflict have forced more than 13 million people to flee their homes, including 7.4 million internally displaced people. An estimated 16.5 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance, while healthcare, education, and other essential services have been severely degraded and remain fragmented.  Poverty is widespread, and millions of families struggle daily to meet their basic needs.

Vulnerable communities in Syria face multiple overlapping challenges. Ongoing insecurity and economic collapse make it extremely difficult to access affordable basic goods and services, while access to safe housing, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities remain limited. As a result, many families rely heavily on humanitarian support to meet their essential needs and begin to rebuild their lives.
