Adaptation program for persons granted international protection III

-

The purpose of the adaptation program aimed at recipients of international protection is to provide people who have arrived in Estonia with timely, necessary and same information to support their quick adaptation and self-sufficiency.

As a result of the adaptation trainings carried out as part of the project, 150 people who have received international protection in Estonia are aware of society and values in Estonia, their rights and obligations, understand the functioning of the Estonian social welfare and health care system, know the education system they need and the possibilities of entering the labor market, know how to plan their family's budget and know which they can receive services and subsidies.

Adaptation program trainings are offered in Arabic, English, Russian and Turkish. IOM and ERC are ready to provide training for those who have received protection who speak other languages. According to the budgetary possibilities and the number of people participating in the training, the trainings are provided in full or consolidated form. At the same time, it is important to emphasize that the need for training may be the greatest in the case of more exotic languages, as normal daily communication with other service providers may be more difficult and always requires the mediation of interpreters.
