Programmes

Our work is divided into seven programmes: humanitarian assistance, livelihoods and economic recovery, mental health, education and awareness, counselling, community, and advocacy and protection.

The Advocacy and Protection programme stands for the rights and well-being of refugees at the local, national, and international levels. We gather feedback from refugees regarding both good practices, challenges, and systemic violations. If we can contribute to solving refugees' problems, we will do so. We listen carefully to what refugees tell us and contribute to solving their problems.

The Community Programme contributes to the formation of more cohesive and resilient communities by supporting refugees in adapting to their new society and involving the local, or host, community in welcoming newcomers. To achieve this, we organise community events and various group activities, as well as children's and youth camps across Estonia. Additionally, the aim of the community programme is to identify systemic and practical barriers to adaptation, integration, and the protection of refugees' rights.

The aim of the Counselling Programme is to provide refugees with essential information and needs-based assistance, as well as to support refugees in their adaptation and independence. We base our support on the personal needs of those requiring assistance to help them make informed decisions about rebuilding their lives in a new country, which in turn contributes to the cohesion of a healthy society.
