People in Gaza have been living under extremely severe humanitarian crisis conditions for nearly two years. Hospitals in Gaza are often the only places people can turn to for help. But even there, supplies are running out. Doctors and nurses are working around the clock without proper food. Patients wait for care while hungry and often without medicine. Aid reaches Gaza in limited quantities, while the need grows every day.
The Estonian Refugee Council is providing essential food assistance in hospitals, giving patients the strength to recover and supporting the doctors and nurses who work under difficult conditions to save lives. With our partner Gaza Soup Kitchen we’re delivering nourishing meals to two major hospitals in Gaza City: the region’s largest, Al-Shifa Hospital and Al-Nasr Children’s Hospital.
